Pastor Laurie Lofsvold

Faith Lutheran is located in Albany in the beautiful Willamette Valley of Oregon. We are a friendly community of believers in Jesus Christ, rooted in the Lutheran tradition. We invite you to worship with us - all are welcome. Our church is at the corner of Queen and Elm in Albany, near Memorial Middle School and West Albany High School.

Events and Highlights

Preschool Open House, Friday, September 12^th from 4 to 7 p.m. School will be starting on the 15th.

Wednesday evening activities will be starting up in September. Quilting Group starts Sept 10^th, Praise band practice also starts on the 10^th, and Wednesday night suppers start on the 17^th.

Camp Lutherwood Auction Fundraiser, Saturday, September 13^th at 6 p.m at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lake Oswego. Donation of service or special items would be welcome. Contact Bob Buswell at 791-2080 for tickets or information.

Rally Day, Sunday, September 14^th. This year's theme is music.

Cornerstone Youth Center summer hours are 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays.

Men's Breakfast and Bible Study, Saturday, September 20^th at 8:30 a.m. All men are invited for a great breakfast and fellowship

Crafting Sessions, Wednesdays at 7 p.m. throughout the summer in preparation for the Fall Bazaar. We are also meeting on Saturdays in September the 13^th and the 27^th. All are welcome to bring a project or help with one that has already begun.

Preschool Project Work Days on Saturdays in August. Framing, dry walling, painting, or cleaning are just some of the jobs to be done. Thank you to all who are contributing in whatever way to the success of this project!

Opportunities

School Supplies We are putting together school kits to ship overseas through Lutheran World Relief and locally as needed. Collecting items through the end of August.

If you are high school age or older and have an interest in working with our sound system contact the church office or Bob Buswell to sign up. You will receive training and be assigned to a time slot when you are ready.

The Praise Band will start regular practices on Sept 10^th. If you are interested in joining us email Shirley Schoberg or call 541-979-1129.

The Garden Market 5150 Santiam Hwy SE, Albany, open Mon thru Sat 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. - a ministry of the Albany Helping Hands homeless shelter.
